Abstract

The purpose of this paper to describe about: how great contribution to the development of Muslim intellectuals scientific fields. Note Muslim intellectual history in the social sciences is the fact that Muslims have been very instrumental in contributing to the development of world science to kesjahteraan mankind. Although social science disciplines are still relatively young, but there has long been an object of study contemporary human existence on earth. Muslim scientists as a pioneer and developer of social sciences has been the historical evidence of the existence of new knowledge in the world. They then dinakan Muslim intellectuals. They tried to dig a truth is not only contrary to measure the normativity but also reality. Social science or sociology is helpful to understand Islam with Islamic reviews of various aspects of human life. The figures or Muslim intellectual and thinking has graced the progress of science ranging from well-known figures to the almost forgotten world.
