UPAYA ORANG TUA DALAM MENANAMKAN KEMANDIRIAN SHALAT PADA ANAK RETARDASI MENTAL RINGAN

Abstract

The problem of this study were 1) How can the efforts of parents in instilling independence prayer mild mental retardation in children ? 2) What is the limiting factor in instilling self-reliance of parents on children's prayer mild mental retardation ? The aim is achieved in this study are : a) To determine the efforts of the parents in instilling independence prayer mild mental retardation in children,  b)To identify factors in hibiting parents in still in dependence in the prayer mild  mental retardation in the children. This research is descriptive qualitative.The key informants in this study were parents of children with mild mental retardation in the SLB school Pearls Mother of Bengkulu. The  instrument used in this study is the observation sheet. The data collection technique using the interview technique, observation and documents. Based on research conducted showed that : the efforts of parents in instilling independence prayer mild mental retardation in the children is : interms of the example, not all parents provide an example or role model interms of the implementation of the five daily prayers. So parents should set an example by attitude, action and a good role model for children. In terms of habituation, only some parents who have their children get used to the obligatory prayers. In terms of advice, still lack the parents who use the method in instilling self-reliance advice on children's prayers, of ten parents who become new informant four parents who have instilled in children the advice method. Factors that hinder parents in instilling independence of prayer in children, lack of wil land interest of the child in his prayers five times a day, giving parents lacking in motivation, exemplary, habituation and advice, lack of understanding and knowledge of religious parents, as well as the busy parent .
