Abstract


Application of this thematic study is in accordance with the stages of child development, the characteristics of children's learning, the concept of learning and meaningful learning is to build integrated course that brings together different subjects into a single unit of meaning and relate to students' lives. Thematic learning is the implementation of a competency-based learning. Results are expected namely that student learning more real and meaningful. Students are more independent, empowered, and able to solve problems faced life. Curriculum 2013 is a curriculum that emphasized that the subject matter in accordance with the stage of development of learners. Also the necessity of learning that develops students' creativity. Curriculum 2013 is often referred to as character-based curriculum. This curriculum is a new curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Curriculum 2013 itself is a curriculum that promotes the understanding, skill, and character education, in which students are required to understand the above materials, active in the process of discussions and presentations as well as having good manners and discipline is high.
