MANAJEMEN PENINGKATAN MUTU BERBASIS SEKOLAH (MPMBS)
Abstract
MPMBS (School-Based Management of Quality Improvement) is a management in education that is done autonomously by school with reference to the virtues and the applicable rules and regulations. MPMBS is an alternative management of school in the context of decentralization of education that is characterized by wider decision-making authority in the school level. MPMBS gives broadness to the school headmaster, encouraging school citizen and community to improve the quality of national education. What is meant by autonomy here are function, substance and system. Function includes leadership, decision-making, planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting. The substance includes curriculum management, student affairs, facilities, finance and public relations while the system is managing inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes.
