Penguatan Tahfiz Al-Qur’an bagi Santri Rumah Tahfiz Surau Baitul Qur’an Muara Siberut Kepulauan Mentawai

Abstract


This community service project aims to strengthen Qur'an memorization at the Surau Baitul Qur’an Muara Siberut, Mentawai Islands. The project site is located in a Muslim-minority area of West Sumatra; however, driven by a strong religious spirit, the promotion of Islam is carried out through the strengthening of Quran memorization. The approach used in this community service project is Participatory Action Research, in which the volunteers serve as facilitators of change by prioritizing local residents as the key to social change, particularly in strengthening Quran memorization. The results of the project indicate that strengthening Quran memorization can help students discover methods to learn more quickly, and the talqin method can help students develop good behavior by following the example of a teacher.
