Pelatihan Branding Sekolah dengan Aplikasi Canva dan CapCut untuk Guru di SMPN 8 Kabupaten Sambas

Abstract


SMP Negeri 8 Sambas often faces challenges in attracting new students at the beginning of each academic year due to a lack of promotional efforts. To address this issue, this community service activity aimed to assist the school in enhancing its appeal by showcasing its strengths and programs through creative promotional content. The content, in the form of videos and flyers, was developed by teachers and school staff using Canva and CapCut applications. The two-day training was conducted through a direct, hands-on approach that included sessions on basic branding concepts, content creation, practical exercises on the use of Canva and CapCut, and evaluation of participants’ work. The results showed that 84.6% of participants were satisfied with the training, with improvements in understanding of branding (37.5%), Canva application (38.7%), and CapCut application (43.8%). This activity effectively enhanced participants’ digital literacy and creative communication skills while supporting the school’s efforts to attract new students. It is recommended that future programs focus on social media management and website development to further strengthen the school’s branding efforts.
