Optimalisasi Metode Muroja’ah dalam Menjaga Kualitas Hafalan Al-Qur’an Santri: Kasus di Pondok Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Furqon Ujungbatu Jepara

Abstract


This study aims to analyze the implementation of the muroja’ah method in maintaining the quality of Qur’anic memorization among students at Pondok Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Furqon Jobokuto Jepara. The main issues examined include the patterns of muroja’ah implementation, factors influencing its effectiveness, and its implications for students’ memorization quality. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the boarding school leader, tahfidz teachers, and students, as well as documentation of tahfidz activities. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the muroja’ah method is implemented systematically through daily review sessions, scheduled recitation of previous memorization under teacher supervision, and group-based muroja’ah. The study reveals that muroja’ah significantly contributes to maintaining fluency, accuracy of recitation, and long-term consistency of Qur’anic memorization. This effectiveness is supported by strong institutional commitment, active teacher guidance, a conducive learning environment, and a collective culture among students, while the inhibiting factors include students’ fatigue, differences in memorization ability, and less optimal time management. The study concludes that the muroja’ah method is an effective strategy for preserving the quality of Qur’anic memorization when implemented in a structured and sustainable manner.
