Strategi Pencegahan Stunting Melalui Sepijar di Kabupaten Temanggung

Abstract


This study aims to analyze stunting prevention strategies through the Sepijar (School for the Prevention of Stunting for Students) program by Religious Counselors in Temanggung District. Sepijar is an education and mentoring program for students to prevent early marriage, which is one of the causes of stunting. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with the stages of area identification, data collection, observation, and program evaluation. The results showed that the Sepijar program was able to reduce the child marriage rate from 4.3% (2021) to 2% (2023) and reduce the prevalence of stunting from 20.5% to 14.4%. In addition, there is a significant increase in the understanding of sexual education from an Islamic perspective and the enthusiasm of students to continue their education to a higher level. Collaboration with schools, pesantren, and cross-sectors strengthens the effectiveness of the program. Sepijar proved to be an effective community-based strategy in preventing stunting and early marriage.
