Optimalisasi Layanan Pembelajaran pada Anak Slow Learner di MI Hidayatul Muta’alimin Senori Tuban

Abstract


The problem faced by MI Hidayatul Muta’allimin is the lack of a differentiated curriculum to handle slow learner students. The human resources in the madrasah are not prepared to educate students with specific needs, causing students with average IQ levels to receive the same learning treatment as slow learners. This difficulty inhibits the cognitive development of slow learners. The objective of this service is to: 1) provide assistance to classroom teachers handling slow learner students, 2) offer learning support to slow learner students at MI Hidayatul Muta’allimin, and 3) guide parents through parenting activities. The method used for this service is participatory action research (PAR). The outcomes include: 1) classroom teachers gaining knowledge about recognizing the characteristics of slow learner students and selecting suitable teaching strategies and media for them, 2) creating engaging media and enjoyable learning experiences to motivate slow learner students in participating in the learning process, and 3) parents understanding the importance of their role in supporting their children's learning for the achievement of their life goals.
