Analisis Rendahnya Literasi Mahasiswa dalam Pemahaman Keuangan Syariah dan Penggunaan Fintech Syariah

Abstract


This study aims to identify and analyse the low literacy of IAIN Curup's Sharia Economics students (batch 2019-2021) in understanding Islamic finance and the use of Islamic fintech. The research method used is qualitative which emphasises data collection in the form of interviews, observations and text analysis related to understanding Islamic finance and the use of Islamic fintech. The participants of this study were Sharia Economics students of IAIN Curup who are members of the 2019-2021 batch. Sampling is done using purposive sampling technique, where students who have low literacy in understanding Islamic finance and the use of Islamic fintech will be the subject of research. The collected data will be analysed using text analysis method. Interview transcripts and field notes will be analysed to identify patterns and themes related to students' low literacy. The results of this analysis will support a better understanding of what factors lead to low student literacy related to understanding Islamic finance and using Islamic fintech. The results of the study that the impact of conventional fintech causes students do not know sharia financial products, conventional financial products are more in the market than sharia fintech products, few Islamic financial institutions and lack of socialisation of Islamic financial products in the campus environment IAIN Curup so that understanding of Islamic financial institutions and sharia fintech is still low. There is a need for education on the understanding of Islamic financial services products and Islamic fintech within IAIN Curup. Increased literacy is very helpful for students in understanding the basic concepts of Islamic finance and reduce ignorance and hesitation when using Islamic fintech. This research is expected to provide useful insights for the development of Islamic financial education and the use of Islamic fintech among IAIN Curup students.
