Analisis Penerapan Metode Muhadatsah Dalam Pembelajaran Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Arab Siswa Aliyah

Abstract


Learning Arabic, especially in the aspect of Maharah Kalam (speaking skills), is crucial in the education at the Madrasah Aliyah (MA) level. One effective method for enhancing Maharah Kalam is the Muhadatsah method, which emphasizes active conversational practice between students and teachers, as well as among the students themselves. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data for this research were gathered from various published literature sources, including academic journal articles, books, conference proceedings, theses, dissertations, and research reports discussing the Muhadatsah method in Arabic language learning, as well as Arabic language textbooks published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020 as the primary material for this study. Data analysis was conducted using the content analysis method. This analysis involved identifying the main themes, key findings, and conclusions from each of the reviewed studies. The results of this study indicate that material and topic preparation, the use of visual aids, grouping based on ability, active speaking practice, consistent use of Arabic, determination of subsequent materials, and flexibility in adaptation are essential steps in the implementation of the Muhadatsah method. Analysis of the Maharah Kalam curriculum at the MA level, as presented in its textbooks, reveals a need for improvement in the 10th and 11th-grade textbooks to ensure the fulfillment of effective learning standards.
