Focus and Scope
IJoCIT (International Journal of Contemporary Islamic Thought) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Research Center of Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu, Indonesia. IjoCIT is an academic journal published in twice a year (March and August).
This journal operates as an open access publication, ensuring that all its content is freely available to users and their institutions without charge. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, as well as utilize them for any other lawful purpose, without needing prior authorization from either the publisher or the author.

The focus of IjoCIT (International Journal of Contemporary Islamic Thought) is to provide the religious scientific of Islamic studies based on the themes developed through the article publications and research reports.
SCOPE

Peer Review Process
The International Journal of Contemporary Islamic Thought uphold the highest standards of academic excellence through a rigorous peer review process. Our objective is to ensure the integrity, quality, and relevance of the published research. Below is a detailed outline of our peer review process:
1. Submission:
- Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission system.
- Manuscripts are checked for compliance with the journal's formatting and submission guidelines.
- The editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and adherence to the journal’s scope.
- Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are desk-rejected.
3. Assignment to Editors:
- Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are assigned to an appropriate Associate Editor with expertise in the subject matter.
4. Reviewer Selection:
- The Associate Editor identifies and invites at least two qualified reviewers to evaluate the manuscript.
- Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, experience, and absence of any conflict of interest.
5.Review Process:
- Reviewers conduct a thorough evaluation of the manuscript, considering its originality, methodology, significance, and clarity.
- Reviewers provide detailed, constructive feedback and make a recommendation regarding the manuscript’s suitability for publication (e.g., accept, minor revisions, major revisions, reject).
6. Reviewers' Feedback:
- The Associate Editor compiles the reviewers’ comments and makes a preliminary decision.
- Feedback is communicated to the authors, along with any required revisions.
7. Revisions:
- Authors revise their manuscript based on the reviewers’ and editor’s comments.
- The revised manuscript is resubmitted for further review, if necessary.
8. Final Decision:
- The Associate Editor makes a final decision based on the revised manuscript and reviewers’ feedback.
- The decision is communicated to the authors (e.g., accept, further revisions, or reject).
9. Publication:
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, and formatting for publication.
- Authors review the proofs before final publication to ensure accuracy.
10. Post-Publication:
- The published article is made available online as part of the open access policy of IJoCit.
- Authors and readers are encouraged to disseminate the research widely.
