Journal of Equation: Theory and Research in Mathematics Education is an online academic journal that focuses on scientific work as well as dissemination of research results and theory in the field of mathematics education research including learning and teaching, application of technology in the teaching process, the curriculum of Mathematics Education, and integration of Islam in Mathematics.

Publication Frequency
The Journal of Equation: Theory and Research in Mathematics Education (Jurnal Equation: Teori dan Penelitian Matematika) will be published twice a year in March and September, with minimum 5 articles per issue.
Open Access Policy
EQUATION: Teori dan Penelitian Pendidikan Matematika is committed to promoting the broadest possible access to the published research and ensuring that it can be freely read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, or linked to in full text, used as data for software, or utilised for any other lawful purpose without financial, legal, or technical barriers.
All articles publish in EQUATION: Teori dan Penelitian Pendidikan Matematika are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY SA 4.0). This licence allows others to share and adapt the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Screening & Plagiarism
The editor will run a plagiarism checker using Plagiarism Checker, Grammarly, for articles submitted before sending to the reviewer. We do not process the article having more than 10% plagiarism based on the results of the checker. We will send the article back to the author to be revised.
Peer Review Process
Equation Journal applies double-blind peer review process for each manuscript which involves editors and 2 (two) reviewers. Decision of article to be published in the journal considers several factors such as relevance of the article and its contribution to the development of accounting practices and accounting profession as well as compliance to the requirement of a published article. Editors and reviewers provide evaluation and constructive suggestions for the author.
Review process in Jurnal Equation consists of following stages, in which editor will provide decision on each stage.
1. Detection of plagiarism using Turnitin software
2. Initial review by editor
3. Double-blind peer review process by 2 (two) reviewers
4. Final review by editor
Jurnal Equation does not allow any plagiarism actions. All submitted articles will be screened using Turnitin software, to detect whether manuscripts contain plagiarism.
Misconduct Research Policy
Misconduct Research Policy for EQUATION: Teori dan Penelitian Pendidikan Matematika
Purpose:
EQUATION: Teori dan Penelitian Pendidikan Matematika is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in research and publication. This Misconduct Research Policy aims to prevent and address misconduct in research, ensuring the integrity, credibility, and trustworthiness of the articles published in EQUATION, in accordance with the standards set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Policy:
- Plagiarism: Plagiarism, including the use of others' ideas, words, or work without appropriate attribution, is strictly prohibited. Authors should accurately cite and reference all sources used in their research.
- Citation Manipulation: Authors should provide accurate and relevant citations. Manipulating citations, such as excessively self-citing or inflating the importance of certain references, is considered unethical.
- Data Falsification/Fabrication: Falsifying or fabricating research data, including but not limited to manipulating, altering, or inventing data, is a serious ethical breach and will not be tolerated.
- Double Publication: Authors should ensure that their research is original and has not been previously published in whole or in part. Submitting the same research to multiple journals simultaneously or publishing substantially similar research in multiple journals is considered unethical.
- Salami Slicing: Salami slicing, also known as "slice and dice" or redundant publication, refers to dividing a single study into multiple smaller publications without proper justification. Authors should avoid such practices, which can lead to the fragmentation of research and distort the scientific record.
Handling Misconduct: a. Suspected cases of misconduct should be reported immediately to the editor, providing detailed information and evidence. b. Editors will initiate an investigation and may seek external expertise if necessary. c. If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, including but not limited to retraction of the article, notifying relevant institutions, and reporting the misconduct to appropriate authorities and databases.
Educational Measures: EQUATION promotes awareness and education regarding research integrity and ethical conduct. Authors, reviewers, and editors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the COPE guidelines and undergo training on responsible research practices.
Compliance and Enforcement: Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with this Misconduct Research Policy and adhere to the highest ethical standards in research and publication as outlined by COPE.
