Nilai-Nilai Keadilan dalam al-Qur’an (Kajian Asbab al-Nuzul terhadap Q. S. al-Nisa Ayat 2, 3, dan 11)

Abstract

Islam’s a religion that upholds the values of justice which’re described in the verses of the Qur'an in various variations. Although it’s trivial, being fair’s actually something that isn’t easy to do, as evidenced by many violations of the rights of oneself and others. This study uses the maudhui method which collects verses that’re indicated to contain the values of justice, in Q. S. Al-Nisa verses 2,3, and 11, using asbab al-nuzul verse approach and their relevance to the interpretation of the scholars. Based on that, this research produces an understanding that’s closely related to the cause of the revelation of the verse about the values of justice implied in the three verses. These three verses specifically demand a fair attitude for people who are guardians for orphans and for those who marry more than one woman, as well as demands to be fair in dealing with inherited assets. Some of these things in this study are related to the times when the verse was revealed, especially in the period before Islam came. This proves that the interpretation of a verse’s very closely related to asbab al-nuzul verse, which’s also a solution to the conditions that occurred at that time.
