Konsep Jihad Ditinjau dari QS. Al-Baqarah: Studi Penafsiran Musthafa Al-Maraghi

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of views on jihad among Muslims and non-Muslims. The issues of terrorism that have occurred lately have always cornered Muslims because they are embedded in the Muslim soul, including the term jihad which is identical to the symbol of Muslims. In fact, the term jihad is not always defined as war, but in this day and age it can be interpreted by fighting against evil, either with soul, property, speech or thought. Therefore, the object of this study focuses on the concept of jihad contained in Qs. Al-Baqarah [2]. This research also uses library research method by revealing from several sources including the interpretation of Musthafa Al-Maraghi in his tafsir Tafsir Maraghi. The results found from this study with seven important points in shaping the concept of jihad whose relevance can be implied in contemporary times include that Allah has ordered all humans to always jihad, both jihad with war (the context of classical times) and jihad with wealth and thought as known as ghazwah al fikr. Because the purpose of jihad is to gain Allah's pleasure and maintain Islam, Allah will certainly reward those who jihad in the way of Allah by always being present even though they are dead, this reward is also given by Allah to those who jihad accompanied by patience.
