Abstract


ABSTRACT: Problems in Introductory Language in Classroom Learning. Abstract: This study aims to identify and describe the problematic use of the language of instruction, and to identify and describe the causes of problematic conditions in the use of the language of instruction. The type of research used in this research is by using a descriptive qualitative approach. In certain teaching spaces there can be language confusion due to the use of two dialects at once during the time spent in educating and learning exercises. This is what will generally happen in the realm of schooling. In the realm of training, Indonesian language assignments have a vital part, during which time is spent teaching and learning the exercises. The language of instruction used by the teacher so that students can understand the learning material well is by using the serawai language or regional language, this is because students understand better if the teacher delivers learning material with the teacher using the serawai language or regional language instead of good Indonesian and correct. The teacher does this so that students understand what they are saying and the teacher is also easier to explain to students if the teacher uses the local language, the learning process is also more effective and efficient for students to accept the material being taught. The majority of this State Elementary School are from regions (hamlets) so they still use the regional language very strongly as a means of communication. In the environment where they live, they also never hear good and correct Indonesian, even their families never speak Indonesian. In schools, teachers also use regional languages as the language of instruction in the learning process, especially teachers who have the same area as students.
