Abstract

This study aims to investigate the strong relationship between the Quran and the Arabic language and the mutual influence between them. It examines how history has shaped Arabic as a common language among nations, defines the origin and evolution of the Arabic language, discusses the preservation and standardization of Arabic dialects, and explores the stability, development, and emergence of linguistic sciences. This study is a desk-based descriptive study. The research findings include the following: 1) The History of the Formation of the Common Arabic Language: This includes various periods, such as the ancient Arabs (the earliest period before the Common Era) and the surviving Arabs (around
the fifth century CE). However, written information about the Arabic language is very limited. It covers the pre-Islamic Jahiliyya period, the Islamic era led by Prophet Muhammad, the Umayyad period, the Abbasid period, the decline, and the modern period 2)The Preservation and Standardization of Arabic Dialects: Undoubtedly, the Quran is a source of energy, strength, and vitality for the Arabic language. Without this divine and Quranic energy, the Arabic language wouldn't have reached the elevated status it enjoys, thanks to its rich meanings, sophisticated vocabulary, innovative structures, and high rhetorical styles. 3) The Stability and Development of the Arabic Language: Thanks to the Quran, the Arabic language has been able to achieve an unprecedented level of global
dissemination that no other language in the world can match. 4) A Global Educational Language: Arabic has significant potential to make a substantial contribution to global education and play a larger role in the exchange of knowledge and mutual understanding among cultures worldwide. 5) Emergence of Arabic Linguistic Sciences: The appearance and dissemination of Arabic linguistic sciences, such as interpretation, grammar, morphology, and eloquence, are largely attributed to the Quran.
