Maksimalisasi Penggunaan Teknologi Informasi [IT] dalam Studi Al-Qur'ân di UIN Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) is the latest and most sophisticated means and facilities that can be used by humans to study and deepen the contents and messages of this holy book. As an Islamic university that uses the Qur'an as its main guideline, the use of IT in the study of the Qur'an should be able to run optimally. That is the basis for the thinking behind the research whose report is written in this article, namely the Masimakization of IT Use in the Study of the Qur'an at UIN North Sumatra. This research was carried out with the Ulumul Qur'an and Teaching of the Qur'an approach, namely looking at the study method using IT facilities in the study of the Qur'an at UIN North Sumatra. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to Study Program managers, teaching staff, and students. While the analysis method used was qualitative analysis. After conducting this research, it was found that UIN Sumatera Utara, especially the Al-Qur'an Study Program, has used IT facilities and infrastructure in Al-Qur'an studies, because the Study Program managers, teaching staff, and students have realized how important the use of IT is in Al-Qur'an studies. However, its use is still not optimal due to the limited availability of IT facilities and the still minimal ability to use them, as well as the insight of some teaching staff who have not prioritized IT in Al-Qur'an studies.
