Abstract


This study aims to determine the process of resolving plantation land conflicts in North Bengkulu Regency and to determine and explain efforts to resolve oil palm plantation conflicts included in the convection production forest in North Bengkulu Regency between village communities and PT. SIL. This study uses a socio-legal method (empirical law) with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the resolution of oil palm plantation conflicts included in the convection production forest in North Bengkulu Regency between village communities and PT. SIL, the factors causing the conflict between PT. SIL and residents due to differences in understanding and opinions on land management control. The impact of the conflict between residents and the company includes material losses and physical injuries due to clashes, company operational obstacles, as well as agrarian uncertainty and social vulnerability for the community, as seen from the riots and reports of asset damage. The conflict also has the potential to worsen poverty and insecurity in the community if not resolved thoroughly. and Resolution efforts made to resolve land conflicts between village communities and PT. SIL. While in general conflict resolution can be done in several ways, depending on which step is appropriate to be the step in the conflict on both sides between the village community and PT. SIL. Conflict resolution can be done in the following ways: a) Litigation, is one of the legal terms regarding conflict resolution or a dispute faced through the courts. B). Non-litigation, means resolving legal problems outside the courts, this non-litigation path is known as alternative dispute resolution.
