Development of Teaching Media for Political Science and Siyasah Based on Graduate Learning Outcomes in the Islamic Constitutional Law (Siyasah Syar'iyyah) Study Program, Faculty of Sharia, UIN FAS Bengkulu
Abstract
Abstract
This article analyzes the problems experienced by students and graduates, to the extent of creating or developing learning materials and media for Political Science and Siyasah in the HTN-I (Siyasah Syar'iyyah) Study Program. By developing learning materials and media, particularly in political science and siyasah, which can enhance the potential and quality of students and the competitiveness of graduates in finding employment opportunities that align with the graduate profile of the HTN-I (Siyasah Syar'iyyah) Study Program. The purpose of this article is to identify strategies for planning and developing teaching media for Political Science and Siyasah based on Graduate Learning Outcomes in the Islamic Constitutional Law (siyasah syar'iyyah) study program at the Faculty of Sharia, UIN FAS Bengkulu. The findings prove that in responding to these challenges, the presence of the Political Science and Siyasah Laboratory is a key strategy and a transformational solution. This laboratory is not only intended as a complement to academic facilities, but as a space for practical experience, where students hone their skills, test their ideas, and build professional readiness. Through activities such as mock trials, political studies, podcast production, and advocacy on political and legal issues, students will experience more lively and relevant learning. Thus, the development of teaching media based on graduate learning outcomes—in the form of the Politics and Political Science Laboratory—is a serious and ongoing effort to address a classic problem in higher education: how to make learning not only a process of cognitive enrichment, but also an experience that shapes competence, character, and readiness for life amid the complexities of the modern era.
